Only few are lucky enough to get a vintage gig in the Jura, especially with Domaine Fumey Chatline...let alone being allocated Jura berries! Beautiful Jura Chardy fruit, natural ferment with only a touch of minimal sulphur on bottling. Whole berries were left to macerate for 6 days in a cool room, pressed to a milk vat to chill, racked and left to ferment in fiberglass tank. She sat on fine lees for a year, racked and bottled. She’s not yellow wine, zero cloud, beautiful golden colour with ripe apricots, short bread pastry with lovely minerality on the schnoz and palate. Plenty of mouth feel too.
